Take social networking to a new level… actually talking to another person without a keyboard! Rediscover how to express yourself creatively and imaginatively using a variety of literacy and communication art techniques.
Join us as we introduce written/verbal exercises and group activities that will help your gift of imagination stay active and grow. The Write Stuff is highly interactive and fun. As you develop your verbal abilities you will feel encouraged and gain confidence. It may even improve memory skills! Some of the topics covered may be: Storytelling, writing techniques, poetry, improvisation, and rhythm and music.
This workshop will:
- Help promote language skills development for English learners.
- Support and strengthen reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
- Promote the awareness, appreciation, and knowledge of critical thinking skills.
- Introduce key concepts in building grammatical and composition techniques as foundations for further exploration.
The Write Stuff is a concise, well-designed program that can easily be adapted to a multitude of settings. The information is arranged to be presented as either a one-time workshop or a series of either four or eight sessions. Tricia Rush will be happy to modify it to match the needs of your organization as long as you book the program early enough in advance.
